Sue from Global Renewables came to school to teach us about managing our waste. She did a workshop with Year 3 and a whole school assembly about how we can reduce our waste.
All the classes have been up to the garden to plant, weed or tidy. We now have a new shed for storing equipment. Ed Bowers painted it and the Eco Team came to inspect!
Our Eco Team visited Mount Carmel school for their annual Eco event. They had fun making bug hotels, thinking about how much packaging we use (but don't need) and enjoyed a community litter pick.
Global Renewables Recycling Centre visited St. Peters to teach us how to reduce, reuse and recycle our rubbish! Christine worked with Year 3 and did an assembly and the children learnt lots! Ask your child about it!
The Eco club told the children about Fairtrade in a school assembly. They then sold Fairtrade chocolate to raise money for the Fairtrade Foundation which supports farmers to get a fair deal.
We raised £29 and made a profit of £12.
