Year Six

Year Six at St. Peter's is Mrs. Taylor's class, although Year Six also do Geography, History and French with Mrs. Bowers.

Mrs Khawaja and Mrs Baron are the TA and HLTA in year 6.

Year Six is a really important school year for pupils as they are getting ready for their SAT tests and preparing to leave for high school. That doesn't mean it won't be fun though!

In Year Six we:

*Work hard and have fun!

*Go on a very long hike over Haslingden Grane!

*Wear blue jumpers to show we're mature, responsible members of the school.

*Experiment to get chemical reactions!!

*Go to lots of places!

and much more!

Please encourage your child to research the areas we will be studying this year.  Also encourage your child to study for their SAT examinations in May in English, Maths and Grammar.

Homework is sent home weekly (Wednesdays) and due back by Monday. Other activities such as reading/spelling/timestables are also sent regularly when required.

Library books are changed on Friday

Your child should read daily at home.

Our usual PE day is Friday, although please ensure your child has a full PE kit available every day.

Please contact me if you have any questions about your child or their learning.
